Porphyry is a metamorphic rock formed by the transformation of basalt or intrusive rock under high pressure and high temperature. It is weather-resistant, frost-proof, and has a cleft-rough surface with reddish, violet, and brownish-earthy tones.

There are different ways to lay stepping stones, ultimately you can place them as you like. Nevertheless, we will show you here the most common options.

The image shows the linear laying of porphyry stepping stones in the grass or on the lawn. Since a stepping stone weighs about 15 kg, it lies well, firmly and securely on the ground and does not necessarily need to be fixed.

If you want the stepping stones to be relatively flush with the ground, you can of course lay and fix them professionally.
